K9 SERVICES FOR VETERANS
ABOUT K9 SWAT
K9 SWAT trains service dogs, battle buddies, and athletic teammates for local Veterans who suffer from isolation, MST, and/or PTSD. Eligible dogs complete advanced training and are placed with Veterans in need of an Emotional Support Animal or K9 SWAT Certified Service Dog, completely free of charge. K9 SWAT partners with Wish For Our Heros, K9 Country Club, and Mission Resiliency to bring more services to those in need, completely free to the Veteran.
For those Veterans striving to become more active and possibly compete with their K9 companions in one of a variety of Dog Sports, K9 SWAT offers an athletic program giving scholarships for training to Veterans and their existing companions. Don't have your own dog to compete with? NO PROBLEM...K9 SWAT can help find the perfect sport companion match.

K9 SWAT also works directly with incarcerated women, through the Paws In Prison program in Lockhart, Texas to teach dogs certain aspects of the Service Dog and athletic programs. This perfect match allows the dogs to begin their journey as emotional support animals while also teaching these women new skills they may be able to build on once released.
