ABOUT K9 SWAT
K9 SWAT trains service dogs, battle buddies, and athletic teammates for local Veterans who suffer from isolation, MST, and/or PTSD. Eligible dogs complete advanced training and placement with Veterans in need of an Emotional Support Animal or K9 SWAT Certified Service Dog, completely free of charge. For Veterans striving to compete with their K9 companions athletically, K9 SWAT offers athletic companions and/or scholarshiped training programs for existing Veteran-owned companions.

K9 SWAT works directly with incarcerated women, through the Pawes In Prison program, to teach dogs certain aspects of the Service Dog and athletic programs. This perfect match allows the dogs to begin their journey as emotional support animals while also teaching these women new skills they may be able to build on upon release.
